Everyday Morning Skin Care Routine in 10-Steps
Step 1: Cleanse
First thing Cleanse your face using a mild cleanser when you wake up to help remove the oils and impurities that have collected on your skin overnight. Select a cleanser according to your skin type: For oily skin use foam based, for dry skin used hydrating and avoid foam based cleanser, or combination.
Step 2: Exfoliate
Exfoliate your skin in at least 2 times a weeks, For clean and less textured looking skin, Exfoliating will remove dead cells and clean the pores. You can use gentle homemade or store bought scrubs or chemical exfoliants 10% to 30% containing AHAs(alpha-hydroxy acids) or BHAs(beta-hydroxy acids) as they are easy available in stores.
Step 3: Toner
Next, use a toner after cleansing your to balance your skin’s pH and get it ready for any subsequent steps. Toners can be used to tighten the pores, even refresh the skin or balance skin discoloration.
Step 4: Essence
An essence is a light, hydrating liquid that boosts the skin’s ability to retain moisture and increases the efficiency of anything layered on top of it.
Step 5: Serum
Apply serums that is suitable for your skin needs. If your skin is dull looking you can use a vitamin C serum to lighten up and brighten the skin, Hyaluronic acid serums show you immediate moistening and plumping looking effect or Kojic acid if you are struggling with dark spots.
Step 6: Eye Cream
Dab a small amount of this cream around your eyes to hydrate this delicate skin and eliminate dark circles and puffiness.
Step 7: Moisturize
Use a moisturizer to help best keep on water for your skin type. It helps lock the hydration in and keeps away all the environmental pollutants from getting inside through the skin. Again according to your skin type.
Step 8: Apply Sunscreen.
Never ever skip sunscreen. Apply a good amount of sunscreen with atleast SPF 50 or above to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. This step is the most crucial to prevent premature aging, dark spot and skin cancer.
Step 9: Face Mist
Face mist helps keeping your skin fresh at any time during the day. By just using a face mist for hydration. Keeping the skin hydrated fresh and dewy looking throughout the day.
Step 10: Lip Care
Finish with a any lip balm of your choice, if not using any of the above, to hydrate lips and help prevent chapping.
